When are the best times to brush my teeth?

Generally, the best times to brush are first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The worst time to brush is within an hour after you eat or drink acidic foods or beverages.  Acid softens the tooth structure and allows it to be rapidly abraded away by a toothbrush with toothpaste.  Wearing away a millimeter of enamel would take one hundred years with a toothbrush and toothpaste without acid and only two years if the tooth is exposed to acid before brushing.
